Edit: All the site traffic blew through my bandwidth allocation on my uploader--All re-uploaded as attachments below.
Yeah, I guess my "PVC Rollcage" idea to get into the race group isn't such a good idea after all... Note the bolt-in roll hoop (not full cage) punched through the floorboards. (Visible in pictures where care is pancaked)
This wreck happened at Hallet Circuit, in Jennings Oklahoma.
I've talked to a few drivers that are familiar with that track, and they believe that this happened as a result of the uphill Left-hander just before going into turn 8. Either going too fast, or braked over the crest of the hill, rearend got loose, carried left off of the track into the tire wall.
Apparently, this is a pretty common wreck at that track (minus the rollover carnage).
Track map also in attachments below.
I found a video replay of the driver after he got out of the car:

Their next "project" should be finding someone who knows how to weld and then actually using metal for a cage.
Glad no one was hurt, that looks really bad.

And doing some engineering both on the design and the mounting (the best money you can spend).
I've seen that happen just too many times.
I'm also aware of a certain 3X nose over tail (of course, the proper vernacular is "ass over tin cup"), and the guys walked away... not necessarily in a straight line, and mostly blind because of the probable 100+G's, but walked away none the less (good cage design and apparently the luck of a Viking-Scot heritage).
or
Save some money on paint, bolt-on horsepower, racer lookin' stuff do-dads... but never on structure, brakes or safety equipment.

It also doesn't have window nets to keep the drivers bits inside the car

Considering the fact that this was a "project car" for an aftermarket company.... I can't assume this type of coverage will be beneficial when it comes to bragging rights.
Now the point and laugh factor, that's off the charts.

The current aero package has to be one of the slipperiest designs that anyone has ever used.

Did you mention Vinny's discount roll cage design/installation... and bait shop?
