The heart spec. came in today and said your heart is fine it is actually stronger and younger than you are. So the reason for high heart rate is dehydration.

The news just keeps getting better. Drink, drink, drink...

I got my NEW YEARS Day present Ken came home from the hospital. YEAH. I now have my hands full, i have to crush and give all his meds through his J tube and giving him his feedings. He is doing well.

Martha, that's great news. I am not sure what a "J tube" is but I guess Ken is not eating down his esophagus yet. Probably needs more time to heal first. Glad to hear Ken is home!

yes a j tube is his feeding tube. no nothing by mouth. he has to learn how to swallow again the muscles in his new esophagus is not the same.

Will be a steep learning curve but a step in the right direction!

He is doing good at home. Still a lot of pain. Does a lot of coughing which doesn't help pain. He sees the surgeon on Monday for a followup appointment. The speech therapy has not started yet. He welcomes visitors but call first. 760.949.4297
Jimmy and I have been sick for over a week now we are trying not to give it too him. Bronchitis is hard to get rid of.

Good to hear Ken is doing good. Sorry to hear you are feeling under the weather. I hope you all a speedy recovery!

Well i am all better now, ken is still in alot of pain, has a horrible cough. But he does get around and takes walks when the weather is good but he only weighs 120lbs so the doctor wants him to gain weight.

Ken is doing OK he is still coughing a lot, he is having some problems sleeping at night.
I found out today I have pneumonia. I have been out of work since Monday, it started last Thursday i was off friday then worked the weekend but now i am off until at least Tuesday.

Martha, It's good to hear Ken is doing ok. Hope that cough goes away soon and he starts sleeping better. And you take care of yourself and get rid of that pneumonia. Hope to see you two out at the track sometime this year...

Well here I go again back down with my pneumonia again but I can't afford to stay home so i am taking the drugs and working please pray for strength and that it don't take as long to get rid of. thanks Ken is doing about the same. Boy i wish i could find that money tree.
